people don’t
have to ask why
we fear
the police
any
more.
five brazen blue-black brothers
beat
down
another black mother's sun
beyond senseless to another same old American
death.
could have been
one
of them caught
on the wrong side of
their "protect and serve"
blue line.
demented white supremacy in
black
face.
black self-loathing
showing out in brute-badge
blue-black on black crime.

Timely relevant poem my brother Okantah. What follows is my reaction to your poem
again we are black and blue
by an attack by black brothers in blue
weary blues says langston hughes
what hue of black are you?
kicks and screams
battered dreams deferred
no one heard
emitt till's screams
they came and got him
in his uncle's house
put a gun to emit's uncle's head
emit left dead
in the river of blood
black blood deadly
if it's black it must be deadly
so kill it
there's no melody to black blood dripping
on any American street
black and blue & weary
this is no time for brown eyes to be teary
as black brothers cry out
for…
